Puglia Meets Clasijazz | Almería, Spain | 2–7 February 2027
Clasijazz and Puglia Sounds are launching an open call to select three jazz musicians under the age of 35 from Puglia to take part in Puglia Meets Clasijazz, an international artistic residency and exchange taking place in Almería, Spain, from 2 to 7 February 2027.
About Puglia Meets Clasijazz
Puglia Meets Clasijazz is a meeting between young musicians from the Apulian and Spanish jazz scenes, designed to create a space for artistic exchange, experimentation and collaboration.
Inspired by the experience of Amsterdam Meets Clasijazz, the project brings musicians from different backgrounds together to meet, rehearse, create music and perform together.
During several days in Almería, the selected musicians will work alongside three other musicians connected to the Clasijazz scene, exploring each other’s musical languages and developing new material and collaborations. The residency will culminate in two public concerts at Clasijazz, where the musicians will share the results of their work with local audiences.
The project aims to encourage artistic mobility, create new connections between the jazz scenes of Puglia and Spain and open the door to future collaborations between participating musicians and organisations.
